Recommend it for family getaways

The owner welcomed us like family, even at a late hour. Plus, the flat screen in our cozy room was a nice touch for winding down after a long day.

It wasn't inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

We had a fun time exploring Smithville Park nearby, and my furry friends loved joining us! The spacious room allowed everyone to feel comfortable, and the setup was perfect for our big family getaway, pets included.

My wife says that the bedding really needs improvement.

The dated decor was overshadowed by serious cleanliness issues. Stains and burn marks on the bedspread, coupled with hair on the sheets, made for an uncomfortable night. Additionally, broken mini blinds and a malfunctioning bathroom window lock raised security concerns. On a positive note, the nearby attractions made for a decent outing during the day.

Had a great time staying here with my friends! We visited Smithville Park and the local courthouse, and it was easy to explore both. The room was clean and we loved the bathroom's updated look. The location felt peaceful, away from the noise, making it a nice getaway. I’d definitely recommend it for a fun group trip!

However, we did notice some issues with the bedding. It had hair on the sheets, which was pretty off-putting and made for a less-than-ideal sleeping situation.
